We were lucky that there was only 13 players so we cut to top4 but if we had more players, and 8th and 9th spot players are tied for 8th how do you make them break the tie to see who goes top 8?

Huh, that's a really interesting question. What happened with the deckboxes? (I think that's top 8)

I had this happen once but it was in a local battleground. I gave them the option between a playoff or a die roll and they took the die roll. I don't know what the actual answer is but it's a great question and at an RCQ it could get really dicey.

I actually had several extra deck boxes so all but 1 of the 13 got one and the store threw in extra packs so everyone walked out with somthing but had I not had those extra deck boxes or this was a bigger event with over 16 players there would have been a cut to top8 which would have made this very screwy

That it showed as a tie for 8th in the tourney results uploaded to the WoWTCG site, all three tie breakers must've been the same.

First time I have seen that happen.

First time I have seen that happen. It isn't the first time I've seen it happen. I've seen it more frequent in smaller events with Core because we add an extra round, which means it goes to tiebreakers when if we went 1 less round we'd have someone undefeated. I've had it happen a couple times but it isn't common.
