Our game store owner Sean brought back some fun new games for us to play which we sat down with last night and played Hot Rod Creeps and 3012. The 3012 sometimes had some vague rules so we went by interpretation on what sounded fair based on the wording.

1. The biggest and only major issue I believe had to do with the Reservation of cards. We assumed when you reserve a card you place a gold piece on it and you can't use that gold piece at all until you purchase the rest of the card and then once bought that gold piece is still used for the turn correct?

2. Gold pieces used during a turn can or can not be used to reserve a card at the end of turn?

3. Lastly, if you run out of gold pieces in the game can you aquire anymore?

1. The gold token used to reserve a card is a down payment for that card. When you buy the card the gold token on it is included in the amount you paid for it. The token will then go back to the supply.

2. Gold tokens used in the purchase of a card will go back to the supply and will not be there when you reserve a card.

3. Gold tokens are gained anytime you do not use the total gold value on cards you have played that turn. You gain 1 token if you do not use the full value. This token is gained right before you would reserve a card for the turn.

Most of this is covered in the Acquisition section of the rules with the exception of returning Gold tokens to the supply after spending them. That is still a little vauge.

Matt feel free to correct anything I have wrong.

Houjix has it right.

The Gold piece on a Reserved card is stuck there and may only ever be used to buy that card. That Gold is a down payment, so you just pay the difference.

Running out: Do you mean the player or the Gold Pool? You gain one Gold if you don't spend all of your temporary Gold (from the coinage symbols). Even if you underspend by 7 Gold, you only gain 1 Gold token. So you can gain more, and the Pool should have plenty.

Okay the pool running out is our issue. We may have played it wrong. the way it's worded to us was that after you spend the gold tokens they stay on your hero until they somehow get sacrificed or you lose a combat.

So it follows that if you spent gold they are put into the supply pool and they don't remain on your hero. That's where we messed up then and made the game compeltely different for us.
