Instead of boosters and the goldfish mechanic (which people argue will devalue the game, and is a feature that everyone should have access to, respectively), how about these ideas for different tiers of subscription fees:

1. Allow subscribers to create and moderate their own public and private chat channels.
2. Award 1 "Strike the Strike" or STS card each week. These cards remove dungeon strikes that you receive when you lose a battle in a dungeon (3 strikes and you must restart the dungeon). They have a cap of 4 (for example) and any gained beyond 4 are auto-crafted for resources. They would be tradable, sellable in the AH, or crafted (broken down into parts).
3. Award 1 "Insta-Gib" each month. These cards would instantly win any single dungeon battle, but could not be used on end-bosses. Same mechanics as the STS cards (cap, can be broken down, sellable, etc).

These ideas take away any devaluation from the draft portion of the game and the PvP card sets. Everything is PvE related or gives an interesting feature (the chat room moderation).

Please feel free to add your own ideas or comment on these. Thanks!

I hate to say it, but those ideas instead of the pack every week, would pretty much guarantee almost no one would soft-sub.

What's wrong with packs?

Nothing's wrong with them, people are just afraid others will spend money on them and we'll have a lot of cheap cards...like any other TCG. that's really all this whole thing about "devaluing packs" comes down to.

People need to realize it's not about how many packs people buy, it's that there's an infinite supply of packs unlike a physical TCG. that's what's going to affect prices more than anything else, and there's nothing that can be done about it other than limiting how many packs can be sold, and that's incredibly unlikely to happen.

If you remove packs from the sub, people are just going to buy in bulk like they will anyways.
