View Full Version : Funny idea: Cards change when trading

Imagine a card (PvE obviously) that would change / get better the more it gets traded. :D Just saw a Pokémon video and had to think about it (in Pokémon some monsters evolve if you trade them for those that don't know)

Botting nightmare. No stamp.

Geez. Some people are obsessed with botting it seems

As long as it's a relatively low number, like 1-3 times, it'd be doable. Anymore than that and it would cause a botting issue.

Yeah, maybe only change once would already be a funny effect :)

Better to make it when sold on AH and make the card unsellable on the AH after it has evolved = solves botting issues

Maybe instead of getting more powerful each time it could just transform into a random version of itself. So the card would have X variants and each time you trade it you could get something different. This would make it a bit of a gamble trying to get the variant you want since no one can get it to you with certainty.

Edit: And to solidify that, perhaps it actually remembers who has owned it and will only be the variant you found it as even if it get's traded back to you.

Highly annoying to get a version you don't want after purchasing it...

Highly satisfying to get the one you wanted

Personally, I'd say that doesn't outweigh the issue of having to unload a version you don't want and repurchase it until you get the version you do want.

I'd just create multiple free accounts and trade with myself.

I like this idea as well
make it happen

Interesting idea.

Cards that morph based on metagame factors in general (like a card that has a different version for every day of the week) is a pretty open design space that Hex can explore.
