Sorry if this question has been answered already but I am curious as how the socketing system works. Can you socket only for PVE battles or are you able to do it for PVP constructed decks. I also read something about socketing for drafting, is socketing limited to just drafting and pve? Maybe I missed it earlier hoping for someone to answer this question thanks!

Here! Have a look at this awesome video I made! :D It should answer your questions. :)

EDIT: If you REALLY don't want to watch it basically you can use gems in both PvP and PvE, and all gems are available to you at all times. Cards with major sockets can use both major and minor gems, but minor sockets can only use minor gems.

Checkout the hex website if you have a chance. Lots of good info. Details on socketing can be found at the link below.

Any socketable cards are socketable in whatever form of the game you are playing. You choose which gem to socket when you build the deck.

Thanks guys, I saw the socket system but was originally told that it was limited to pve. Now after seeing a video I find out all gems can be used in all formats. So that seems pretty sweet overall. Thanks!

Just to add a little bit to this: If you search on 'Socket' at http://hex.potion-of-wit.com/ it will list Socketed and Socketable cards. Whether the search brings up ALL of those cards, I cannot say.

Now the only thing we don't know about socketing is if we can use it during a match.
So can we change gems during sideboarding or can we only do it during the original deckbuilding.

i don't think we'll be able to change sockets mid game during sideboarding, it's been stated as part of the deck building process. perhaps it might be allowed in limited, but I doubt it'll be avaible in constructed.
