Hello again!
Just was thinking about the starter decks we are being given, does anyone have any insight on if we will be able to use them for the PvP world, or are the starter decks given to us strictly for PvE content.

On another note, im not sure if this has been started but as far as PvP content goes, is the only tournament that has been confirmed being draft? Or have they confirmed that there will be others at release of our beta invites.

I believe starter decks are entirely PVP cards. I think all product that can be bought through CZE will be PVP useable. At least that's what it sounds like

We know there will be draft, constructed, and wild west formats i think are the only ones confirmed.

I saw sealed tournaments somewhere as well.

If that is true, what are we supposed to use for the PvE content?

You can use pvp in pve

That's what I thought and why the post I quoted confused me.

I also have some questions about starter decks.

Apparently we'll have 4 different starter decks (Orcs, Humans, Shin'hare and Dwarfs), right? If that's the case, based on your experience with other card games, are those decks random based? I mean, they contain a fixed amount of rares, uncommons and commons. Are those preset or random?

Is it any good to get more than 1 of a specific race, cost wise?

Starter decks are usually preset. With maybe 1 or 2 boosters to allow for early deck customization.

I'm not saying that we'll get boosters as part of the starters in Hex; in fact, I think most likely we won't get any.

Probably better to get one of each then, or trade them somehow(?)

No matter what they end up being (preset, booster or no booster) I would always recommend getting one of each before doubling up on any one starter. This maximizes the possibilities you have for deckbuilding.

The starter decks are 60 cards including sources for $10.

So unless you want one or more of the cards in the starter deck, I would rather get 5 boosters at the same price. That is just my opinion though.

I'm assuming he meant the starter packs we get to choose because of Kickstarter rewards.

I sort of assume we would have 8 starter decks one for each race but i could be wrong?

4 main starters on release.
1 special starter from KS for certain tiers and higher (I think Champion?)
Starters from account creation are untradeable.

Starters from KS are tradeable.

Yup, my bad, that's what I meant.

There is also the Dragon starter deck, could end up being more.
