Can someone link me to info on this?

Edit: It was a stretch goal, never mind :/

For anyone too lazy to click over to their Kickstarter tab:

VIP is a monthly subscription ($4) that gets you four boosters (one per week) at half price ($1).

He said never mind =/ so there was no reason to bump it with an answer.

I sure hope there is more value than that! This equates to exactly the same as paying $2 per pack!!

Welcome to everyone jumping on you for doing math wrong.

Uh. No, it doesn't. It equates to $1 per pack. $4 = 4 Packs.

Not to mention free tournaments, goldfishing tool... etc etc..

I read it, but I don't understand the goldfishing tool. It seems like it lets you practice drawing cards by yourself? I don't think I'm conceptualizing it right.

That would be my interpretation... Lets you test out starting hands for a deck that you are building to see if it works out in practice like it works in your head.

I wonder what early VIP (for many donators) will do to the market system

4 $1 packs plus a $4 sub? How does that not equate to $8?
Hence the "extra value" comment...

This is going to sound like I'm criticizing, but I'm not [trying to at least]. Seems an odd throw-in incentive (goldfishing) for pay per month - but maybe PvP is harder to preview deck draws than I'd assume...

VIP is a pack a week, for 4 dollars a month plus some benefits. People equate that to 1 dollar a pack, thus you confusion.

You get four packs FOR the $4 sub. (plus other fringe benefits)

So in your math: For $4, you get one pack a week (4 weeks in a month) and the other fringe benefits people mentioned.

Put in other words, for your $4 dollar subscription, you get 1 pack a week for free plus other benefits.

You don't add them together. It's $4.00/month for 1 pack a week plus some other perks like a tournament invite and gold fishing.

Regarding goldfishing. They want something nonessential that will help encourage subscribers.

Goldfish will be the same as Solitaire in MTGO it looks like. I can not believe they are making you have to pay to use that. Good news though, no one really uses it. I have only used it a couple times to see what happens between certain cards.

It's $4 a month, 1 pack per week.

As we have 52 weeks a year, you get an average of 4.3 packs a month, or $0,92 per pack.

The VIP exclusive tournament should make it interesting and well worth the $4/mo

VIP exclusive tournament still costs an entry fee + packs, i believe.

I think goldfish mode is actually pretty useful.

It's like playtesting for loners :D

Or being just more time efficient for certain tests.

I often do it in magic drafts between deck construction, and the first round. In my mind it helps to unclump mana (perceived more that actual) and gives me something to do in those last 5 minutes before a match. I hate doing nothing.

Vejuz

I hope goldfish mode isn't something you actually play, but a simulation that runs, say, a hundred games (or more!) in a small time period and then gives you analytics on the results. That would insanely useful.

Otherwise, I don't see any real reason for it to be part of a sub.

Between this and today's stream, I hope "HEXers are bad at math" becomes a running gag. :p
