He didn't have the resource point to play the cooking pot that turn anyways... Back to irrelevance cooking pot.

Didn't he bring back a burn spell why didn't he use that to take out the flier?

Again no resources and too much health I believe...

He has two sapper chargers (4 damage) and the bird had 5 health

This goes to show that even the seemingly simplest of cards can be a game changer.

I totally LOL'd when he realized that the Cooking Pot would of been the better choice. Live and learn! :) Great showcase tonight!

I must make a goblin cooking pot centric deck now if possible.

Um, I think the cost was 0, thanks to those dwarves.

It would have gone into play for free due to the action of the creature that brought into play. The action cost for goblin cooking pot is 1 resource though and he would not have been able to pay that. So no GCP FTW

Cooking Pot: the first HEX meme.
God help us.

Right... He could have probably gone a little more crazy with the engine and found a way to get that extra mana though. The cooking pot could have mattered.

Hell, I think the biggest mistake was letting Ben get his last turn - if coming into play doesn't count as casting, he had more than enough damage on the board to come within a few life (and two sappers charges could have dealt with that) once he engined out the captians tower.

I wish we knew a little more of the inner workings here, I feel like opportunities were missed, and I don't know if it was poorly played, or restrictions in the rules we don't understand.

Bad luck, not willing to abuse the bug in his favor, and some poor play looks like.

Yeah, those are my thoughts too - it made the game more fair and balanced, so not going to fault him on not abusing it, but I feel like the artifacts he did pump out went mostly unused.

I wanted to see more 0/2 mana pumping and crazy artifact untapping.

How could the cooking pot have helped him? o_O

conversely if he hadn't gotten the cooking pot to begin with and used it, his opponent wouldn't have been able to put it back on top of his deck and give it the +1/+1 i think it was which would mean it would have had 4hp and the two later sapper charges would have killed it.

Everyone knew that the top card was the flier that won Ben the game, and the cooking pot mills the top card.

Well the dragon priest might have still been able to ressurect the bird and give it the +1/+1 after the sappers charges, but it would have played out much, much differently.
