Greetings,

This thread will be used to compile all important features and changes to hextcg.gamepedia.com (http://hextcg.gamepedia.com), the wiki of Entrath.

List of fansites!
We have recently added an important new feature: A List of Fansites (http://hextcg.gamepedia.com/List_of_fansites).
This feature is a first step in making the wiki becoming a cornerstone for the community. We invite all other webmasters and community owners to come in and add/update their information.
The biggest advantage is that your information is visible immediately.
Detailed usage instructions are at the bottom of the page.
Find the list here:
http://hextcg.gamepedia.com/List of fansites

Recently added Cards

Angelic Ascension (http://hextcg.gamepedia.com/Angelic_Ascension)
Alabaster Sphinx (http://hextcg.gamepedia.com/Alabaster_Sphinx)
Genesis Hydra (http://hextcg.gamepedia.com/Genesis_Hydra)
[/url]
Wizard of the Silver Talon (http://hextcg.gamepedia.com/Living_Totem)
Owl Familiar (http://hextcg.gamepedia.com/Owl_Familiar)
Gax The Sly Roller (http://hextcg.gamepedia.com/Gax_The_Sly_Roller)

[u]Existing Features
These are all the important existing features.

Card Database, currently containing 255 cards (including unfinished lesser known cards like Ascendant Brilliance (http://hextcg.gamepedia.com/Ascendant_Brilliance) and Champions)
Equipment Database
Tooltips, for quick card/equipment reference (also see the Style Guide (http://hextcg.gamepedia.com/Help:Style_guide#Tooltips)).
Basic Information, in most cases this is still only a wikified copy of the hextcg website.
List of Fansites (http://hextcg.gamepedia.com/List of fansites). Feel free to add and update yours.
List of Guilds (http://hextcg.gamepedia.com/List of guilds). Feel free to add and update yours.

Planned Features
These features are things we are planning to do. None of these features are certain, but we hope to add them. They are in no particular order.

Decklists, the possibility for people to add decklists and create gauntlets.
Lore, combining all known lore into the right pages. If multiple sources on one topic exist, they have to be combined into one nice objective article.
Guides, these will be very community driven. Examples are Drafting, Dungeon runs, Deckbuilding, Crafting...
Community Projects, these projects will help aspiring editors to quickly find stuff to do.

How to help?
A wiki is a community project. Every one of you is an editor! A wiki can be daunting at first, we know. You can take your first wiki steps by editing some typos and before you know it, your "wiki fu" is growing very strong.

The best start is to read the Help:Contents (http://hextcg.gamepedia.com/Help:Contents) and the Style Guide (http://hextcg.gamepedia.com/Help:Style_guide). However, history has taught us that plunging in and editing is an equally strong start.

Want a more guided start? Visit myself, the other editors and the curse staff in the IRC channel #hexwiki on Freenode, there is a free web client (http://webchat.freenode.net/) available. For more information, look at Help:IRC (http://hextcg.gamepedia.com/Help:IRC).

If you have any other suggestions or remarks, let us know in this thread or any of the already mentioned contact points.

This wiki was provided by Curse (http://curse.com).

Hey, great site! I have bookmark it :) Finally a page which i can surf on a fast pace on my mobile :)

Just a suggestion, is it possible to have an option to view ALL cards in 1 page? That would be easy for people who are new to look through the amazingly creative cards.

Sure, you can reach this by pressing "Overview" on the front page:
http://hextcg.gamepedia.com/Cards
If you just want the list, there's also:

Also, for those needs, Cards DB are probably better, like http://hex.potion-of-wit.com/

I agree here, wikis aren't easily capable of all the fancy stuff that dedicated DB sites have. We're mostly flat text.

That said, cards Databases will be much more limited in scope, they don't have the nice extras like lore.

And you can already see that a community driven website is faster in updates. Example: last I checked today no other DB currently has the stream previews online. That said, once the game is in beta, the flow of new cards will be much slower. So this difference will become smaller.

Sure, I was not saying to switch the wiki with the db. Different tools for different needs ;)

Its awesome to see all these fansites, blogs and tools pop up for this game that isn't even released yet!

Exactly this - all of the ground work done by the people who maintain those time-intensive sites (wikis and DBs) creates the foundation for a a great community as well as an excellent knowledge base... and with a TCG, those things are extremely important.

Great work on the wiki - its amazing to see all the improvements that have been made!

Thanks for the compliment! And great work on the videos!

One thing, if I could be so blunt, could you also link to the Gamepedia wiki (http://hextcg.gamepedia.com) to your videos? It is actually more up to date than the Wikia one (and nicer to look at IMO).

Thanks!

Rap, I edited the main page of your wikia site to point to gamepedia. Hopefully it will catch some stragglers and prevent work being wasted over there.

Even though we appreciate the effort, I'm afraid it won't matter. Wikia moderators will likely edit it out quickly. At this point we're far ahead already in content quality, so if we focus on improving the wiki further, it will become a set value. But sitll thank you for the support!

Yeah, they did. I had no idea that's how wikia works. You can be the founder of a wikia site but then you lose control over it. That's terrible, I really dislike wikia now.

It's just basic business ;) Let's not dwell on this further and look ahead. The hextcg.gamepedia.com wiki is growing rapidly. New cards are added within the day and our IRC channel is becoming more active as well.

Indeed, I will throw edits gamepedia's way for sure.

Also the wikia people seem to not be taking action when you tell people about gamepedia on their site, so I can always do that every so often :p (and I think their policy is bad business tbh)

Given the people I know who work on wikis and other projects like them, its more about people sacrificing their time to improve the community more than people who just have lots of extra time on their hands.

As MrSeriusBsns said, I actually have a full time job and two small children. I am just so hooked on this game that the little free time I get I spend on editing the wiki, or hanging out on the forums, or fantasizing about playing the game. A bit obsessive I know, but no game has made me be so hyped in a loooooooooong time and never have I spent this much money on any single game. :)

Of course we are hoping to grow the active wiki community so that we each only have to do a bit of editing. Especially when the Alpha starts, we will need a lot of helping hands. :)

Even if it's early maybe, i would interested in a section of combo's. I think more fansite\blogs\forums will come out with different combos, and it's always help for a noob player who not see the cominations so fast.
Not an entire deck, only 2-3-4 cards what can be a core of a deck, some short explanation how to use, and what recommended to put more if you have. The beginner players often dont have 4*from every card, so a core would be more helpful than a full deck. Could do PVE and PVP segment separated.

We are planning a guides section, so this would be a perfect fit there. Alternatively, there is always the possibility for "Great Combos" on the page of a specific card. The idea has been noted and we'll look for the best way to add it. :)

I've added all the spoiled PvP champions to the wiki. You can find a convenient list of them on the main page for Champions: http://hextcg.gamepedia.com/Champions

Why is this sticky? It should be linked in one of the (multiple) link stickies, but should not be a sticky of its own.

EDIT:
Actually, I've talked in PM with the OP and he has a better idea. We'll move most of the links and FAQ over to the wiki and leave this thread here as sticky.
