I sat in a dark, projector-lit conference room within the Cryptozoic offices, bearing witness to the new MMOTCG HEX in all its digital glory. A part of me couldn’t help but think back to my experiences in Orlando, as Cory Jones thoroughly explained the complexity of the PvE offered within the dungeons of Entrath.

Hm, now we've got to think of deck ideas to beat that raid... Looks like a lot of smaller damaging effects are going to be better than getting a few big troops out. And damage prevention effects may well be key to stop him raising his meter too high.

Why are Hallowed Fields and The Clone Zone promo cards?

Hallowed Fields and The Clone Zone aren't promos... the Equipment for the cards are the referenced drops from the raid.

But their rarity is yellow, so they are promo cards.

Void Breach... soooo sexy. Can't wait to use it as a wincon, probably in a Pack Raptor deck. /swoon

Maybe they accidentally linked Alternate art from a legendary Mode dungeon instead of the actual card?

To be honest, I saw raids as a side thing for me, since I'd planned to focus on drafting and dungeons. But that article--wow! The uber-competitive, highly-regimented aspect of WoW raids (you either heal, buff, tank, DPS, etc.) turned me off quickly, and that's why I guess I stopped playing. But the smaller party (3) and balance between play and deck building as determinants for success have me changing my mind.

i'm really looking forward to raids. i was never very good at raids in WOW or rift but tcg raids i think i can do. i also think the story side of it is awesome.

I can tell raids are going to test every player's abilities, inspire and swarm cards are probably going to see a ton of play in the PvE environment.

The difference in the WoW tcg raids to Hex PVE should be stark. We can not yet rule out that the most efficient method might be assuming the tank/dps/heal trifecta for some of these raids. It works for a reason. The devs challenge is to break the mold into tiny pieces and ours to surpass the challenges.

Heck will we have worlds first races on these raids? Will a raid be so unforgiving to warrant that great a challenge? I hope so!

This just reinforces the fact that I'm going full on PvE. :)

How drop system will work? I mean in raids? Will we all roll for it? Need or greed system?

Last we heard, each and every one had his own loot.

I imagine this.

Really look forward to this - Playing the WoW TCG Onyxia Raid in a tournament back when was really fun - and I always enjoyed the Warlord: Saga of the Storm Challenge System (which was the first game to use a mechanic like that, IIRC).
