Now it seems so far, that the idea of factions will only be used so much, for Hex's lore, story, dungeons and its PVE in general. So I think it would be cool idea to implement it into the PVP side of the game, in having a Faction War PVP mode (or even possible Raid-PVP type faction wars*), and you can pretty much tell how it works, Ardent VS. Underworld, furthermore this can be implemented in several ways:

1. Simple Game Type: In X amount of time, the side with the most wins/kills wins.

Rewards: Top ranked players or players with the highest rating (most number of wins/win-lose ratio/player rating) of winning faction receive the top rewards (e.g. boosters, primal packs, rare cards, treasure chests) Everyone else in the winning faction receives gold, maybe small amounts of platinum and maybe common, uncommon cards.

2. Elimination Game Type: Self-explanatory, 1v1, faction VS. faction, winner moves on and vs another of the opposite faction, until there is just 1 person of the each factions are left, and battling it out to decide the winning faction.

Rewards: Top X players of winning faction receive the top rewards (e.g. boosters, primal packs, rare cards, treasure chests) Everyone else in the winning faction receives gold, maybe small amounts of platinum and maybe common, uncommon cards.

3*. Raid-PVP Game Type: The game type is set out in a dungeon, possibly like the 3 lane maps in of League of Legends, or the slightly more complex maps as seen in Soul Calibur III's Chronicle of the Swords mode. And in the vain of these 2 games there are towers/"turrets" containing enemy or neutral mini "raid" bosses, and when defeating that mini-boss, being able to place mini-bosses of your faction in them when you capture a tower. The main goal of reaching the enemy castle/keep/"nexus" and destroying it, and possibly having a final epic raid boss in it.

Also, your are able to defend your towers or castles, by challenging enemy players whom are attacking the mini-boss/final-boss, where they can not decline and are forced to battle you, thus removing players that are attacking your boss. Minions could also be added to increase the speed of this game type, in where they are AI controlled enemies that attacks towers/castles/bosses and are continually being replenished like in League of Legends

Rewards: Top players (would be based on stats, player rating, including most damage, most kills, win/lose ratio etc.) of winning faction receive the top rewards (e.g. boosters, primal packs, rare cards, treasure chests) Everyone else in the winning faction receives gold, maybe small amounts of platinum and maybe common, uncommon cards.

What do you guys think of this idea???!!!

You do realize there are other ways to win other than through damage.

Clearly, the damage part is only related to the 3rd option,, the raid-pvp game type, and plus i said for it "would be based on stats, player rating, including most damage, most kills, win/lose ratio etc.), you do realize what etc. means? and the simple game type is based on wins, win/loss ratio and player rating.

There is something similar to the faction war idea in the game but it doesn't work like you've suggested it. Basically there are 2 unique decks, one for each faction. You pick one of the decks and then over the course of a year, you play those decks. At the end, the side with the most victories on their deck wins, and everyone who selected that deck gets to keep it - the losing side gets nothing.
It's called the Annual Arena or something.

But that's not using the two main factions in the game, it's two other factions of monsters. It would be cool if they took the idea of factions of ardent and underworld further as stated in my idea. But the annual arena is cool nonetheless.
