Hi Guys!

Im really really new to TCGs and theres a lot of things i dont understand. This question might be really stupid but im not used to the thinking around TCGs...

In a boost draft tournament u get boosterpacks which u open, pick a card and send on. 3 packs and a bunch of cards later i am to build a deck with what i have chosen right? Will i end up having 39 cards that i fill up to 60 with resourcecards of choice and then im done? can i choose to exclude some cards and choose extra resource or am forced to use all the cards i chose? Pls explain this. Sounds like a great deal of fun but im not sure i understand how its done :)

It's only a 40 card minimum limit in drafts, so you will end up with 45 cards (3 x 15) and can add ass many resources as you want. So basically you will be using just over half of the picked cards to form your deck. So no you aren't forced to use all your drafted cards.

you end up with a pool of 45 cards, from there you choose what to put in to your deck (you get as many lands as you want for free, you don't have to draft them). Anything you don't put in the main deck will be on your sideboard and you can choose to swap them in for games 2 and 3 if it gets to that.

Deck size is minimum of 40.

Hey sevein, drafting is a real lot of fun. It's a new experience every time you do it, as lord mentioned, it might help to check out the video which I put out yesterday (this one focuses mostly on the mechanics of drafting). I'll be putting out the follow up to it on thursday morning, which will cover more of the deckbuilding process among other things.

DON'T DO IT! It's a trap! start down the drafting path now and forever will it dominate your destiny! You'll see piles of (virtual) cards dancing through your head as you try desperately for the perfect draft deck for eternity! Better to just walk away and think about what might have been than to be grasped by the tentacles of drafting madness in an unbreakable grip!

Really though, drafting is piles of fun. Good luck to you with it.
