and let them lead the way!

Well, it sure feels like we are in the home stretch now, right?

With only 12 videos to go before the end of my Card Breakdown series (to coincide with the release of Alpha), there won't be many more of these posts (6 to be exact)!

Today's video, the 48th in the series, is looking at Xarlox (http://youtu.be/DurrYlBZZy4)

If you've missed the previous videos this week here are the links:

Wednesday - Soothing Breeze (http://youtu.be/iQtyctLH09s)
Monday - Countermagic (http://youtu.be/UpFKyhud2g8)

Thanks again to everyone who has watched, commented, or subbed. Its been a long road since Kickstarter, and I'm glad we are nearly at the end. Or is it the beginning? Beginning of the end? Well, end of the beginning just sounds dumb.

Never mind.

Oh, you aren't making any more videos once alpha launches? I didn't know that, that's a shame.

The release of Alpha is going to change the whole 'game' of content creation- should be a fun time!

I imagine that once the game hits, there will be plenty more to talk about than individual cards :)

Thanks a ton for the effort you've put into these. You stoke my Hex Engine.

No official date yet - but now that I'll be releasing two breakdown videos per week (with a different format for my Wednesday videos), that means my 60th video will release on the 27th of September. Since that's the last week in September, I'm crossing my fingers we'll get Alpha by then.

Now that I read my post - it does sort of look like a "farewell" speech, doesn't it? Well no one is going to be that lucky! :)

My goal with the series was to help the community grow and provide a resource for use after release (no matter how flawed it might be), once we can get into Alpha/Beta/Release, I'll be putting out regular Hex videos with in-game content. I'll be recording drafts while providing live commentary, I have a new format called the First Try Championships which I'm hoping I'll be able to incorporate Hex into, and I'll likely do some more tutorial-based videos to try to grow Hex's casual player base.

Hex is just such an awesome concept and I'm so excited for it that its made me want to keep producing content and actively participating in growing the community!
