Boss,

Do you know how hard it's been to keep the fact that you're an artist a secret since the DragonLord Dinner? I spilled the beans that you were a pro baseball player, but kept the lid on the project you leaked to me.

This is phenomenal Comic Strip (http://www.thehexvault.com/blog/2013/09/03/hex-vault-comic-episode-1/) I just stumbled upon while listening to Colin's audio cuts. I got to say I'm highly impressed!

So far from this community I've seen a Hex Song Parody (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=3DAFluasEsU), Hex Community Art (http://forums.cryptozoic.com/showthread.php?t=27074), and now a full blown Hex Comic Strip (http://www.thehexvault.com/blog/2013/09/03/hex-vault-comic-episode-1/)!!!

Anyone else seen this thing yet? This community really is amazing. Boss, what frequency are you going to come out with these?

Nice, looks great. Like the manga look. - will be following the adventure, and hopefully for a long time.

Could barely make it past 30 seconds, pretty slow and uneventful honestly. And that was 30 seconds after the first 30 seconds of credits

Just like Hex, now that I've had a taste I want MORE!

Edit: Just noticed the green tie, like that touch

I find most artistic endeavors or at least the seeds of such nice and hopeful.

As to the comic.

Other than the fact that this thread was started by a modbot - Why is this in General Discussion and not in the fansite subforum

Especially when a thread already exists in the correct location - http://forums.cryptozoic.com/showthread.php?t=27342

Pretty nice, just could use some better pacing. Keep the stuff coming :)

Yeah this is some pretty bad favouritism going on. I can deal with the DragonCon thread essentially being a tool to promote someone's site because they're (almost exclusively) covering the convention, but this is pretty blatant, especially coming from a moderator.

I have no idea why you'd make a comic into youtube video instead of actually posting it as comic. Now it is just extremely slow-paced.

Yeah. I found that strange too. Also I don't get the comic I think. What's it about? Inside jokes?

It`s nice to be surrounded by "HO`s"! (Honest Opinions)...

The reason I chose to try a video format is for an effect I wanted to create that will be in the next video. (Already done while I do the art for the following one.)

If it becomes something people are not enjoying, then I will adapt accordingly.

"The story so far"
- Following the creation of an online forum account, personified into a student, through the staleness of the forums into a journey of why is he here. In the search for clues he gets "trolled" into the discovery of the Hex Vault.

-Future episodes will contain: Hex characters, Hex story, card reveals, strategies, forum personalities, and more...

What do you want to see?

What do you want to see?

Yasi would make a good villain.
I also see him as a great candidate as a target if the story needs a tragedy too ^ ^

I actually like the pace. Seems like every cartoon now a days need to be so fast paced and all about action, instead of taking the time to tell a story.
Just look at Disney, once they also took their time to tell a great story, now you have cartoons like Phenebs and Phurbs (or what they are called) - too fast pace imo, just to get a headache :P

Eh. I'm with the "Just do a comic strip" crowd. The voice-over was a tad on the annoying side. Love the effort, though, and I'll check out part 2 when it's done to see what you wanted to do with it.

The art was great, the voices just seemed unprofessional sounding when compared to the art (they all sounded like voices people would make when making fun of some one instead of like normal people talking). The theme of trying to be informative will never be as popular as comedy or action but in it self its not a bad thing, just probably not the biggest audience getter. Overall I thought it was a good start (hopefully I don't sound too negative I just wanted to try and give some constructive criticism, I read a lot of comics) and will keep reading. Tremendous props for making it and best of luck with it.
