I am excited as anything to see Hex come to my computer, and some of the multiplayer aspects that have been announced that I think are awesome are:
1. Raids (of course)
2. Keep Defense (multiplayer, even if it's one at a time)
3. PVP.

However, I do have some ideas that I would like to see. Most of these have already been hashed out multiple times, but I do want to list 'em again, just because I can!

1. Full multiplayer dungeon support (It just doesn't feel like a full MMO without being able to do almost anything content related with a friend/wife/child/whatever)
2. Bigger Raid multiplayer options. I would love to see one big battle with groups of 3 PCs individually fighting a single boss and other such insane nonsense.
3. Guild vs guild. This could go badly, but if done right I think it would be awesome.
4. Shadowing. There are times when I don't want to put the effort into playing, but I want to watch my buddy try to nail a Keep Defense fight, or I want to train someone on how to work a particular dungeon event, or I want to see my guildies crunch/get crunched in a draft. The possibilities are many. I just want to be able to shadow a fight. Mainly I would work this with my guildies, but leaving it as an open option would be nice.

I want as many multiplayer options as you can shove into the game, honestly. I'm sure I'm only scratching the surface here. Any other ideas?

1) done via Raids. Dungeons are solo and Raids are 3v1 (3 players vs 1 npc).

2) see 1. also note that the 3 players might need to work together!

3) only problem is the time limit with turns. As is players estimate 1 game (pvp) to be about 3 hours. How would the game prevent 6h or longer matches? I could see 1v1 or 2v2 matches with GvG. HEX could also do overall stats against said guild. ie total wins vs losses against said guild.

4) Ask your buddy to hop on Twitch and stream their play. I can understand that it would also show their cards. Shadowing could just be an observe mode. I support observe mode. Even if it was on a 5 minute delay to prevent cheating.

after thinking about it. GvG could be something like a 5v5 battleground. You have a team from guild a and guild b. the landscape is setup so that players pick a node they will defend/attack. the opposing team does the same. the players that pick the same node will battle each other. After the last battle the guild with more total wins will win the BG. The 5 matches would be running simultaneously thus to prevent very long matches. At worst a guild would need 3-2 to win the BG.

Nice thing about this GvG BG is it could scale upward to 45v45 or higher. There could be some BG's there were coop, meaning 2v2 at nodes.

Search the forum for a thread called tournament pve modes towards the end of it there's a suggestion for a way to work a large scale battle similar to what you're talking about.

There will be some optionally multiplayer dungeons; you won't be able to spectate however (http://www.thehexvault.com/blog/2013/09/02/dragoncon-2013-hextcg-pve-design-panel/ check 0:41:30)

It's not in their plans to do more than 3 players raids and the major reason is downtime

This will definately be in sooner or later

And dont forget about the rivalries! Im sure there will be reputations to build up both digital and grapevine-based. Tournaments will be the battlegrounds on which these guilds will clash and the world will be watching. Talking with the Cryptozoic guys, they hope to someday have a full on eSports kind of vibe with fans watching from home with full commentary to help give character to the action.

Spectator support will be in (definately for pvp related formats, as for others there is a good chance)

2 vs 2 and 3 vs 3 formats have already been announced

2v2 and 3v3 tournaments are definitely in the works. Wed like to introduce those to the players once we have an established community of players to make it easier to field teams.
