or a similar game like Magic? I've never played any other card games like this before and it would help me out a lot if I know what everybody else is talking about.

Thank you. I couldn't find "charge" on there. Someone was discussing something in the Official Rules topic about that. What does that mean? Did they mean Crush?

Charge is referring to the Champion powers I believe.

I assume they were talking about charging their champion. http://hextcg.com/game/champion/

Every time you play a resource, or particular cards like Charge Bot, you hero will get a charge. These can then be spent to gain an effect. http://www.hex-datamine.com/cards/Charge-Bot/131

I have a glossary on Casual Hex - http://www.casualhex.co.uk/glossary/
Charging is related to your Champion's charge power. Crush is a separate thing.

Charge is one of the basic mechanics of the resource system, not a key word.

Each Resource, or shard (similar to lands in MTG) does 3 things.

Gives you a Permanent Resource point that recharges each turn.
Gives you a Temporary Resource point that you can use this turn.
Gives your champion a charge point.

Your champion, or the character that represents you, can be charged up by your resources, and they have abilities (only one in pvp) which they can spend charge points on.

Ah...I knew about charging your hero, but in their context I thought they meant attacking on same turn or something haha.

@Icepick Thank you. I'll be bookmarking that page.

That is awesome. I'll definitely be referring people to this.
Suggestion, add the following: Threshold, Cost, Charge, Temporary Resource Point, Permanent Resource point, Shard (color), Revert, Socketable Minor/Major, Gem, source, troop, artifact, constant, basic action, quick action.

We can't have exact definitions until we get a rule book though...

Edit to avoid double post: Oh, and it occurs to me that the post that confused you could have been referign to "Charge!" (http://www.hex-datamine.com/cards/Charge!/22) a card that does something unrelated to charging your champion.

Charge is already in there, but the rest are good suggestions so I'll get those added! Thanks!

Note also that hero's charge power can only be used once per turn despite your hero having additional charges

Agreed, nice resource for newer players.

It could also help to have the MTG names of things referenced alongside the Hex names. For example, I expect a lot of players to still make mention of their "lands" among other things.

Hex - Magic: The Gathering
Basic Action - Sorcery
Quick Action - Instant
Resource - Land
Constant - Enchantment
Troop - Creature
Crush - Trample
Swiftstrike - First Strike
Steadfast - Vigilance
Speed - Haste
Lifedrain - Lifelink
Defensive - Defender
Flight - Flying
Spellshield - Hexproof?

I'm sure there are others I'm missing

Edit: Exhaust - Tap
??? - Summoning Sickness
Permanent Resources/Resource Points/etc - Mana

Summoning sickness i believe was referred to as "trauma" or "troop trauma"

I've made a bunch of changes to the Glossary (http://www.casualhex.co.uk/glossary/), so thanks for the suggestions, everyone!
If anyone has anything else they think I should add then feel free to drop me a PM, or just post it in here (or comment on the actual glossary page!)
