View Full Version : Murder Inc. Art Contest - Top Three Prize Winners!

09-28-2013, 03:19 AM
Welcome community. It took us a week to hash through our ten submissions. We used a formula of theme, composition, and creativity to determine our winner with five different judges of (dubious) art evaluation.

****The Prizes****

First Place: One Abons, one Gax, one set of promo sleeves, and four alternative art card codes. That is one of EVERYTHING available from the convention.

Second Place: A handsome set of steak knives. Ermm, scratch that... one handsome Gax.

Third Place: One pack of promo sleeves.

****The Winners****

In third place, winning a very rare pack of sleeves for their future decks, we award this to "Split Ear" from Nekoangel.

In second place, winning a very valuable and powerful Gax... it is Bailin with his great Rabsputin piece.

Our winner by a quite a few points is an amazing, emotional piece from Ebynfel. The piece is entitled: Elf's Sorrow. I personally hope this art moves onwards to an actual Hex playing card. Regardless, he finds himself with all of the Gencon promos worth hundreds of dollars. HUNDREDS!!!

Finally, there is the unannounced Corpselocker banner winner of meritorious superior greatness award. An entry that failed to captivate the judges, but I was personally moved by the card. There was one piece that resonated a pure card format, had the humor, and a distinct Hex subculture feel. Hammer receives my exclusive reward that I am personally fronting. I'll be providing him with five of my own set 1 packs for his great effort.

Some prizes will be available immediately. Some will be held until beta. Fear not, you are winners and will be rewarded :)

Please congratulate our winners on such a fine job.

All 3 pieces of art are stunning. Kudos to the artists :)

I especially love the winning piece; besides me having a soft spot for elves the depth, colors and emotional aura of it, is mind blowing :)

Lol that animal has an arrow in its belly. How does a 4 legged creature get shot in the belly anyways

On the move, an animal can be hit anywhere. I imagined it was leaping over the log when it was sniped when I painted it. In either case, Ty much everyone:). It was a fun picture to do

Congratulations Ebynfel! It was great to see the work as you developed it . We are going to have to create a special Hex art forum for you over at UC :)

WOOT! Congrats all three winners. Enjoy the spoils of the horrible toils of standing in Hex's line talking to other hexers and then getting to demo the game.. It was such a hard thing for us to do :)

I made sure getting those prizes was especially unpleasant for them. So their suffering makes your gift that much sweeter.
