View Full Version : Alpha bug PSA - Don't sit on the home screen in game.

The refresh rate on the home screen is unlocked and it will push your video processing as hard as it can, and your stuff will likely overheat, if it's older it may even fail. The deck manager doesn't seem to have this problem. I'd close the game to be safe unless you're pretty sure you know what you're doing.

CW said he would try to have it fixed as soon as he can. I'd not expect a major patch for around a week though.

This is kind of really important and I want to put it in multiple areas. =/

The patcher itself does the same.

Patcher doesn't seem to be doing it for me.

Yea, I noticed a uncharacteristically large load on my gpu while downloading.

I have a very high end graphics setup, the patcher puts around 10% load, the hex login screen about 20, the home screen after you log in 99% and pushes my temp up to 80 in a very short time.

The patcher runs one of my cores at near full speed. I have no idea what it's doing to the GPU, but I imagine it's not happy either, as I can actually hear the fans when its running.

I'm using about a 6 year old Athlon dual core system and the one core only hit the 30's for usage. Never thought to check my GPU as I didn't think the patcher screen would be taxing the system.

My patcher screen was anywhere from 1800-2300 fps.

Last night when I was looking at the resources the patcher was using it seemed to use ~30% on all 4 of my cores.
