View Full Version : Ports to open?

My firewall at work is preventing Hex from authenticating (I can patch just fine, I just get a progress bar that never resolves when I put in my credentials).

My IT guy wants to help, but we couldn't figure out where it was getting blocked. He asked that I ask on the forums what ports we should have open in order for the Hex client to authenticate/communicate to the outside world.

Does anyone have an answer on this?

(I can play from home just fine now)

I've got:

HexPatch.exe using TCP ports: 80, <2 consecutive random>
Hex.exe using TCP port: 9933

I don't know if that's accurate or not though.

Didn't work. Anyone else have a suggestion?

Sorry, I accidentally listed my local ports instead of the ones you actually need. ^^;

I've updated the post to reflect that.

This worked! (I think, I am encountering the "already logged in" bug, but that's further than I ever got before here at work)
