Last I heard there will be at least 40 dungeons at launch. I wouldn't be surprised if they cut back on a few since things have been going slower then anticipated with the rollout of the game. However, since its an online mmo you can expect them to continuously add new dungeons and pve content. I think the plan was to add in new dungeons in between launches of new pvp sets.

here is a summary on everything pve

A) Storyline/World/factions

This is how the story is going to be presented ;

http://www.twitch.tv/weekingeek/b/413067790

there will be 8 dungeon ark telling a linear story

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VUn3gOclMc check 0:15:25

there will be a unique storyline between factions (note you can play both factions in the same account, so you got to enjoy/unlock everything)

B) Pve progression

1) You will start with an ingame tutorial and your starter (possibly playing a tutorial dungeon and a raid )
http://www.thehexvault.com/blog/2013/09/03/dragoncon-2013-interview-with-chris-woods-magical-creature/ check 0:03:00

2)pve will scale with starters
http://www.thehexvault.com/blog/2013/09/02/dragoncon-2013-hextcg-pve-design-panel/ check 0:59:15

3)then there will a 8 dungeon ark telling a story for each faction
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VUn3gOclMc check 0:15:25

4)there will also be stand alone dungeons
http://www.thehexvault.com/blog/2013/09/03/dragoncon-2013-interview-with-chris-woods-magical-creature/ check 0:03:00

5)for every 5 dungeons they will be showing us there will be a raid (you won't necessarily have to complete all 5 to attempt the raid ) http://www.thehexvault.com/blog/2013/09/03/dragoncon-2013-interview-with-chris-woods-magical-creature/ check 0:03:00

6)As for obvious upgrades, those will be your cards/equipment; eventually everything will come down to farming efficiency, so the most cards/equipment you have unlocked the faster your progress will be.

C) pvp/pve relation and the f2p model

1)they said that that there won't be paywalls and that pve will scale with starters
http://www.thehexvault.com/blog/2013/09/02/dragoncon-2013-hextcg-pve-design-panel/ check 0:59:15

2)You will be able to sell your pve drops at the AH for platinum to fund your pvp needs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VUn3gOclMc check 0:33:15

3)pve equipment drops will be the chasiest things in the game
http://www.thehexvault.com/blog/2013/09/02/dragoncon-2013-hextcg-pve-design-panel/ check 0:21:50

4)There will be gold sinks that will help gold retain its value therefore making it more desirable in the market
http://www.thehexvault.com/blog/2013/08/21/gencon-2013-interview-with-a-princess-transcript/

5)you can play pve in hard mode to unlock items with potentially greater value and cosmetics (cooler looking drops)
http://www.twitch.tv/hextcg/b/412300360 check 0:08:58

6)they are planning fun daily quests like phantom version of cards; you will be able to get phantom versions of cards via crafting or as a rare drop in pve, socket them to a wheel, and you get a spin of that wheel each time you login with a chance to win one of the cards that were socketed there; and those cards will be absolutely tradeable
http://www.thehexvault.com/blog/2013/09/02/dragoncon-2013-hextcg-pve-design-panel/ check 0:39:15

7)value of packs in the game is higher that any other card game. This gives more value to vip program. Why ? well they are cheaper, give you the chance of a primal pack full of rares and legendaries, plus each pack contains a chest with chance for higher rewards like more packs, items, gold, sleeves and mercs

8)Crafting; The Void Society has come to Entrath to gather raw materials for their war effort back home. They take cards and gear you don’t need and, in return, give you items that can combine into new and unique PvE cards and gear. Players can gain access to these crafting cards and gear by turning the cards and gear they don’t need into component parts, then assemble the crafting components into items. Unlock more powerful items and crafting recipes as you level your crafting skill.

This is correct. Latest official info suggests that we can have champions from both factions in the same account

Hi, i wonder how it's going to be with the rewords and drops in dungeons. Is there going to be cards that you only can get by looting them or are you able to trade/buy the best card in the game?

The hole point of this game to be PvE is for everying to play it and get account bounden cards right? :)

As far as I know they don't have plans to account or character bind cards or equipment.

So basicly you coult djuts buy the best PvE card right of the market. Isent that like distroyinh the hole idé of PvE and progress?

So basically you could just buy the best PvE card(s) right off the market. In't that like destroying the hole idea of PvE and progress?

Well you could, but it is difficult to define what is the best. You will need different cards/strategies for different situations. What is the best in one situation won't be worth anything in another. You would eventually end up buying every PvE card and still need to know how best to use the cards.

Yes, everyone can drop <enter number here>$ into the game and buy all current tier cards x4 via the AH. They could then buy gear off the AH to fill in their net deck. Then proceed to p2w dungeons.

This is the very nature of Trading Card Games. And games where we do not have any Account/Hero binding.

That is whats going to happend if people are able to do it.
If you can pay to win then there is people thats going to do it. And its going to destroy this game i hopw thay reconsider that idea.

people buying stuff off the ah is excellent. We want them to. Then they will have value. Then farming PVE stuff could eventually pay for PVP stuff making the game entirely free to play. Except for the people willing to pay money who can just advance through with cash. It's a win win really.

What things would a PVE player obtain that a PVP player can use? I assume that all PVE cards can't be used in PVP (certain tournaments i understand they will be allowed). If Mercs cannot use equipment then what would a PVP person want to spend Plat on?

--==--
If you want p2w debates head over to the Neverwinter forums. People were complaining that anyone could pay to get bis gear and then run top end dungeons, thus pissing off the f2p players who couldn't afford to do such a thing. Neverwinter had items much like HEX will have, non binding, where you could buy something wear it then sell it when you get an upgrade. A recent patch added in binding to some of the top end gear to keep the qq down.

one problem about buying things is that eventually people get bored and usually stop playing.

Except this isn't gear that you upgrade. It's deck accessories for your PVE stuff. Even if no one who is a pvp'er is interested in the PVE gear the people who are interested in PVE and want to skip the grind for gold will buy plat and pay plat for PVE items. Then you use the plat to buy packs and tournament entries and singles so you can PVP. The items being useful in PVP are irrelevant.
