Bouncing a 12/12 honeycap with buccaneer and then attacking with vampire king to transform the honeycap results in a 14/14 vampire. Seems like it keeps the honeycap buff.

The picture of a fat mushroom vampire I had in my head was hilarious...

If Vampire King doesn't state that it reverts cards before turning them into a vampire, this appears to be working as intended, with permanent effects sticking around after changing the base properties of the card.

Yea from my reading of the rules FAQ (http://f31812b0b389f16c3943-bb9edd4f1582b9b60c1682bd9d280aa0.r48.cf2.rackcdn.c om/HEX_FAQ_1-3.pdf) that is legit and really, really funny :D

This is behaving as intended. Vampire King specifically only transforms, it does not revert. So any permanent buffs (or debuffs) that have been applied to the troop will remain in place once it's converted to a vampire. So in the case of Honeycap, which is a permanent buff it receives on entering play, the vampire would be 2/2 + whatever the Honeycap was.

A nice strategy with Vamp King is to use Buccaneer or Time Ripple on an opponent's nasty, beefy, super-buffed troop when his hand is otherwise empty, then smacking him with VK to take it for your own. :)
