During an AI match the opponent placed a 0/0 honeycap with 7 wild shards on the table. I them used time ripple to bounce it back, the opponent on the next turn placed another wild shard and the honeycap back down again. to which, the same hit the table as a 15/15 immediately.

The 7/7 is a perm buff, so when you bounced it it triggered its effect again adding 8/8, making it a 15/15 and working as intended, or at least as the wording on the card intends.

That's not a bug honey cap gets its power by an ETB trigger. this P/T stays even if you bounce it back to hand. Also you can kill a honey cap with a revert making it 0/0.

It's not a bug, it's glorious!

Feature, not bug. The buff is permanent and triggers every time it enters play.

Pro tip: don't bounce a honey cap unless you know you can kill it / stop it from recasting. :)

Moral of the story: Dont bounce things that get buffed entering play.
