In case you missed the notices on reddit, twitter, twitch, or on the podcast, FiveShards.com has three new articles up this week and a tournament series analysis. The three this week are:

1) MeetTheFutur3 discusses a blood/ruby decklist he has been toying with. (http://fiveshards.com/future-tech-blood-and-flames/)
2) Cabalpapa unveils his sapphire/wild spirit dance deck. (http://fiveshards.com/cabal-therapy-do-a-little-dance/)
3) Pentachills discusses his most picked cards in set 1-1-1 drafting. (http://fiveshards.com/common-common-commotion-set-1-frequent-draft-picks/)

Of course, if you missed the tournament series announcement, you can find that here. (http://fiveshards.com/announcing-the-fiveshards-shard-cup-series-the-blood-cup-cometh-december-13th-14th/)

I read the one draft article that you linked, and it was very disappointing. I was expecting a top pick chart by this drafter, or at least some insight into his draft strategy. All I got out of the article was "I love Shin’Hare" and what are the most junk cards that he is left with.

I'm just being critical of Pentachill's article,

why make an article stating "these are my most owned cards" and tag the word draft to it? sure, you can make an argument saying you love the Ritualist because you draft it often, but why build a wall of text about a 5/4 vanilla troops? to be fair, any action you put on any troop would improve the troop's functionality. I feel this article simple held the facts that you own the most in said cards, and wrote a few paragraphs to explain that you get many usual late pack picks.

i did enjoy reading about the Ritualist in particular though and your reasons for liking it. many good points on that subject.

Hi Punk and Littlejon,

I chatted with Penta a bit as he was making the article and he was part musing about how the cards you pick the most in the draft are not your 1st tier cards, but they are often your 2nd tier cards as everyone else is also picking tier 1 cards. So, he wanted to spotlight some of those midrange picks and why his midrange picks might be higher than ours/yours. He certainly has different counts than I do.

The article also comes at the very tail-end of set 1; for set 2, expect more on what we consider tier 1 in an undefined meta. In a very well-played set, rehashing some of the best picks seemed a bit played out.

sounds good. I look forward to reading that too.
