So what is everyone's favorite/strongest common in each color? I've found a few to stand out as particularly vicious for being a common, and was wondering how everyone else found them.

My list:
Diamond - Augmented Awakening
Ruby - Crackling Bolt
Blood - Tormented Ritualist
Wild - Rune Ear Burrower
Sapphire - Murmurs from Beyond

Honorable artifact mention - War Bot Bunker

The only answer that needs to be given here is Wreckasaurus. In 2-2-2 format there was no stopping that card and the damage it could do. So powerful, so majestic, so lovely, so brutal.

There's so many good commons! Value changes depending on your archetype but a lot of them retain some benefit even if you aren't running that archetype. (like Launchpad Specialist for flight and +1/+1 although not running d0rf/robitz)

Diamond - Preservation. Argh, Diamond and it's 2's! The Herald and the Vanguards are fantastic for tribal and Augmented is powerful.

Ruby - Crackling Bolt value is excellent. Overdriver and Foreman are awesome for d0rfs. And dat Boulder Toss. Can't forget Arena Regular's for pinging!

Blood - Nibbler, Killblade and Tormented all are good. I like Crackling Rot's permanence, and the card draw on KT's Thirst if you have the thresh. Don't underestimate Giant Mosquito's with Bunoshi either, ugh

Sapphire - Phoenix Messenger for evasion and card draw value! And benefits from human tribal. So many good Sapphire commons though

Wild - I like Cottontail Scout's efficiency and evasion. You can tunnel him and have him pop next turn to swing just as though he had been played normally but without the exposure, plus a free tunnel if you have one available. Lots of value there. I like Trick of the Light too because it's a 2 cost card draw in Wild plus potentially a combat trick and it often wheels.

Artifact - Reactor Bot for sure. Beastly with charge decks. Crank Rocket is pretty ridiculous , especially with recursion. War Bot Bunker is fairly solid too.

I often have a hard time deciding which way I want to go because I want to just use a smorgasbord of them all.

Boulder toss, man I love that card. That has both gotten me out of some trouble and also landed me in some trouble too when its been hurled from my opponent.

Also +1 for Wreckasaurus and Cottontail Scout, the latter probably just beating the former.

I've yet to manage a good sapphire draft with Daisies, but I do love that card.
