Five two-shard combinations can be found in this set, and the other five combinations will headline the following set.
5 multishard cards have been spoiled.

1 is Elf
3 are Coyotle
4 are Ardent
0 are Underworld :(

I was really hoping for a Multi-shard Necrotic. Maybe we'll get 3 of 'em next set.
That said, Lanupaw has a 3 color combo and it says two-shard combos in the announcement.

Here are all the pictures in one place:

It might just have been my thinking but necrotic seemed like the most likely multishard choice considering they are the only ones with cards that need all 5.

They never mentioned that those five 2 shard combinations will be the only ones.

Take a look at the five you already linked, there is 1 card with a three shard combination (Lanupaw). It can't count for that sentence.

There's also a combination twice (wild - sapphire)

So I think we can expect more multicolor cards in the set.

Finally there's also the rarities. I would expect a cycle to always be the same rarity.

Necrotic already have two pseudo-multi's in Lixil and Shepard. I feel pretty good about some more showing up soon

You are probably right.
Especially considering that when you bring in 3+ color combos you end up with way more than 10 total combinations.

There are actually exactly 10 possible combinations of 2 colors, 10 combinations of 3 colors, and 5 combinations of 4 colors (http://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/discretemathematics/combinations.php).

If there's 5 in Set 3 and 5 in Set 4, only half of the possible 20 2 and 3 color combinations will be covered. Maybe there is some kind of allied colors logic here (as Allegiance is a keyword and theme) and the unallied combinations are the ones that will be ignored...?

Posted by me some-place in one of the long threads:

So: "Five two-shard combinations can be found in this set"

Diamond/Ruby (Army of Myth)
Wild/Ruby (Periwinkle)
Wild/Sapphire (Windsinger)

You'd have to hope for Blood/Sapphire for a unique Vennen, which conveniently leaves Blood/Diamond to level out the shards - the classic Necrotic combo.

That means set 4 has:

Blood/Ruby = Orc
Blood/Wild = Shin'hare
Diamond/Sapphire = Human
Diamond/Wild = Non-troop card?
Ruby/Sapphire = Dwarf

This is all cool stuff, thanks for doing the Maths guys.
I guess I should have tried thinking and crunching numbers before posting.

But these cards are *almost* cool enough to make me want to like the Coyotle. *almost*
So I'm bracing myself for a heart attack for when we get to see the Underworld guys.

Periwinkle could be so much fun. Arborean Rootfather with the Major red gem that does damage to opposing player and the +1+1 minor gem. Take 18 damage and like it.

Definitely bummed that we haven't seen any underworld multi-shard love yet. Still a lot left to be spoiled yet I imagine.

Wouldn't Diamond/Ruby be Human also and Diamond/Wild Coyotle since Coyotle are Wild/Diamond/Sapphire, and Humans Ruby/Diamond/Sapphire. I agree that if there's Ruby/Sapphire for Set 3 it would probably be Dwarves over Humans....unless they're not doing multi-shard ones for the Underworld in this set.

EDIT: Wild/Diamond could also be for Plants. Since Rose Lion is a Diamond Plant.

Blood/Sapphire - Vennen
Blood/Diamond - Necrotic
Blood/Wild - Shin'hare
Blood/Ruby - Orcs
Ruby/Wild - Elves
Ruby/Sapphire - Dwarves
Ruby/Diamond - Gawaine Humans
Diamond/Wild - ???? Coyotles???
Diamond/Sapphire - Cerulean Humans
Sapphire/Wild - Coyotles

Any idea what else Diamond/Wild dual threshold would entail?

I really hope Plants stay mostly Mono Wild.
It would be strange if :diamond:/:wild: didn't get any Coyotle Multishards.
But they could be saving that combo for set 4.
