Inspired by a recent thread from Vorsa (http://forums.cryptozoic.com/showthread.php?t=43438) which collects the verses of the Arachnomicon, this thread does something similar:

Many of the Elf cards spoiled from Set 3 have flavor text that not only rhymes, but seems as though it might all fit together into a larger cohesive work. This thread is a place to collect those lines as they are spoiled, and possibly reconstruct a complete poem from them.

So far (In the most lyrical order):

"First, rehearse your song by rote,
To each word, a warbling note.
Hand in hand, with fairy grace,
We will sing, and bless this place". [Titania's Majesty]

"I speak, of course, of the Ashwood,
Where many venture, but none should." [Ashwood Maestro]

"Where each step bends on tangleroot,
and the still wind turns the air mute" [Ashwood Soloist]

"Where leafless trees loom and devour,
The ecstasy of any hour." [Ashwood Blademaster]

Anyway, that's all we've seen of lyrical elves thus far, but at the rate of Spoilergeddon, this little ballad may flesh itself out fairly quickly.

So keep an eye out for more of the poem, and feel free to add/rearrange lines as they become relevant.

Good times.

"I speak, of course, of the Ashwood,
Where many venture, but none should."
meh typical whiny elf Ashwood ain't got nothing on wrathwood so far.
Both huge plant monsters that just refuse to die properly.

I suspect everything the Elves say is in verse.

Well Titania's Majesty, like several others from set 1 and 2 is from Shakespeare. Specifically from Midsummer Night's Dream toward the end where all the faeries go and bless the pairs of lovers.

I enjoyed this praise just a little too much...
but then again, I expected as such.

I like applause, the people's rumble.
Makes it difficult to stay humble.

I have a feeling I'll like the elves
how they express their lyrical selves.

I don't think I can wait to see
how many more verses there will be.

Sometimes I'm sad that nobody picked up the wiki. Information like this would fit perfectly on the wiki.

Indeed, the wiki was good. Had I not run out of time... I enjoyed the little I did though. :)
