While perusing the spoilers for this set, I noticed that the vennen, coyotle and, to a degree, the elves are potentially telling a much larger connected story in their flavor texts.

I also noticed that some art also seems to link.

It's just a pity you'll never see these cards together like this on the battle field, though it's pretty cool the symmetry between the effects.

I really hope they have more situations, especially with creatures that have art going across cards.

That's really cool with the art linking between two cards like that, i hadn't noticed. Nice catch!

Someone else posted a little while ago about the Vennen flavor text all being part of the Arachnomnomnomnomicon:

I'm definitely liking what they're doing here.

Great catch with the art, there! I completely missed it.

In addition to this and the Arachnomicon thread linked above there's a thread for the Coyotle signs here: http://forums.cryptozoic.com/showthread.php?t=43487

I really like what they're doing with these cards. Now we just need some sweet Necrotic flavor text in the mix. Sadly their spoilers so far seem relatively light in that department.

nice, good find
now I let my imagination free and imagine if we get something like a binder in the future with all extended arts and it becomes one massive image that combines all the cards. that would be so cool

Light? That's putting it mildly...

I hadn't noticed the Elf continuity before. That's awesome.

Maybe we'll get to explore these stories more in PvE?

I'm happy some folks are paying attention. :)

How long will it take until we have enough pieces of the puzzle to start making sense of Chaostouched flavour text? :p

If the chaos touched make sense I'll be sad. =(

If I'm puzzling out the vague hints in the Coyotle Signs right, the Thirteenth Sign hints towards a world threatening conflict between the Void Society and the Chaostouched in the future.

Now if only we could get some confirmation from some sort of lore expert/writer...

Just to add to the reference chain, there is another thread on Elven continuity (of the lyrical sort) here:

Really cool to see all of these. Musical/lyrical continuity, stage/oratory continuity, some dance references, etc. The elves are really rocking their artistic flavor.

I generally feel bad for whoever has to translate some of this crazy flavor text.

You shouldn't feel bad until you somehow include supercalifragilisticexpialidocious in half the cards in a set.

I love Flavor text and I noticed that elves in this set are more artistically inclined as opposed to warbased which is highly ironic given the name of the set.

To an Elf, war is art. :p
