Hello Hexlings,

I think that the term "Double Back" is less evocative than "Middle" or "Inside". "Inside" is probably the better of the two, since it's less confusing. Just like a person, a digital card has a relatively static front and back, but an inside that's constantly changing as it records its statistics, feats, and participation. Calling this feature the "Inside"of the card implies that digital cards are more alive than their physical counterparts.

What do you think?

I think "Double Back" makes much more sense than the terms you just coined. :)

I just love the absurdity of a flat card having three sides. :)

I also like double back cuz its leaves the possibility of triple back open.

Why can it just be the "back" since all cards are played with sleeves :p

Hex does not include cards and is not a card game. :o

Which is funny because the "double back" may as well be "back", since all cards are supposedly in "sleeves" which would obscure the regular back unless you made an effort to examine it which reflects the behavior of Hex cards.

Yeah, that's a good point about the sleeves. I think that they want a unique name for the feature, though, to differentiate Hex cards from physical cards.

I got that impression as well.

Though I found out about Hex from the PA comic where the commented about the "lovecraftian geometry" of having 2 backs on a card. So how much if that is actually intended and how much of that is a comic writer's first impression, is anyone's guess.
