I played at the Birds of Prey Sneak Peek at GenCon this weekend. It was a very interesting Crossover. It seems that is was designed to go mostly with Teen Titans, but I suppose other sets could work as well. First, the included Super Heroes were...

Black Canary
Oracle
Batwoman
Huntress
Katana
Catwoman

The first interesting thing is that almost every card in this set depicts a woman. I can only recall one male card.

The new mechanic in this was about rotating cards. For example, Oracle's ability reads...

Once during each of your turns, if you control two or more Heroes, draw a card and rotate a card you control 90 clockwise.

Rotating a card does nothing by itself. However, there are effects that trigger based on controlling rotated cards. There are also cards that benefit from being rotated all the way back to the "upright" position.

Let me know if you want me to share more.

Super Villains are ordered from Cost 8 to Cost 15 as usual for a Crossover. In order of appearance, the characters are...

Harley Quinn
The Calculator
Livewire
Poison Ivy
Cheetah
Lady Shiva
Nocturna
Talia Al Ghul

Is this a full set? or is this a crossover?

I'm guessing the Calculator is the one male card?

Oracle, Huntress, Katana, and Catwoman. I'm very happy about those four. I'm also happy to see more Bat villains getting the super villain treatment.

It's a Crossover. About twenty cards for the Main Deck.

That would be nice if it was near that number, most crossovers usually have around 10 to 14 new cards. I guess maybe the mechanics need the additional cards to make it more viable.

Um people kindly remember that Oracle thwarted Calculator's plans and defeated three of his henchmen, without access to her computer, wheelchair or normal weapons.

It is that many. I took pictures of almost every card. It is definitely at least twenty.

Umm... Okay. Where did that come from?

10 to 14 main deck cards... I don't know if you are including S-V's in your count.

I am not. I have pictures of 7 Heroes, 5 Villains, 4 Equipment, and 3 Super Powers. I also know there was a Location, as well as an additional Villain and Equipment that I do not have a picture of. That makes 22 that I saw.

Someone earlier commented that they were happy with only four of the heroes revealed. I have read the Birds of Prey comics and I know the power of Oracle, I just hope that the developers do her justice in her special ability.

I think they were just commenting that they were happy to see those four in particular. I don't think they disliked the other two, they just wanted those four characters specifically.

I already spoiled Oracle's ability, so you can see for yourself.

No. Rogues will come out first. Rogues release date has not been announced.

I Batwoman Cassandra or Stephanie? I guess it could be Barbara, but that would be weird with Oracle in the set...

It's years of Pokemon exposure. You just assumed Batgirl used a plotstone to evolve to Batwoman. :P
