One last sad bump to this largely ignored topic before this sub forum is possibly closed.

Unfortunately it was a situation where playing it differently would have been fine so it will be dismissed, but my opponent cast Predatory Play with the intention of holding priority and also casting...

Oh I agree completely, but I plan on bumping or making new threads pretty much forever every time the dumbing down of Hex to simplify development impacts my game. Holding priority wasn't the first...

Just watched an opponent in sealed completely screw himself because he didn't realize holding priority was removed as an option.

I thought this was supposed to be a crazy thing that never actually...

I didn't catch what exactly happened so I could be mistaken, but from chat it looked like Alucard was actually impacted negatively live on stream by this recently.

I'm still trying to wrap my head...

Some people feel the removal of in game options and game depth with no warning at all is an important discussion.

I would assume they were just rehashes of the same points that people shot down here, otherwise why not just post them in the first place?

I would have really enjoyed seeing this argument in person.

I get what you're saying, I just think it's so wrong in my mind that I assumed I was confused.

Taking options out of the game does not increase interactivity no matter how hard you try to spin it...

I don't understand, if they have the first action resolve that's not responding to it. The option player B loses is the option to not do anything??
  12. You're still not understanding how this works I...

You're still not understanding how this works I think. Player B can still respond to the first action, the second action will just be "on the stack" when they do.

I understand what you are saying, I just don't understand who you're saying it to. The post you quoted specified in this thread which I believe is accurate, it didn't say across the entire player...

The post specifically said "in this thread" which is accurate if you look back through the posts.

The other post was originally in general as well. I'm assuming this post will get moved into beta and/or merged with the other one as well.

If anyone manages to get any useful discussion at Gencon better explaining why we're having options removed from the game, don't forget to update the rest of us.

I honestly wonder what the response to this would have been if it was just changed independently instead of being an almost hidden patch note with no warning buried in a gigantic content patch. ...

You'll just get swept up in Cory hype and be swayed to believe that it's good for the game somehow. :p

The responses to this thread seem to show that actual discussion isn't an option.

Why? I like the game, I want to see it succeed. If I didn't care about the game I would just see this change, assume it's the first small step toward dumbing us down into Hearthstone and quit. ...

It's a sad day indeed when you can look at something Hex is doing and say "MTGO does it better".

Would have been nice if we could have at least had some of the concerns and questions that were...

The tinfoil hat in me has certainly wondered more than once if the root of this spawned from an issue with the client or something resulting in the removal of hold priority being the easy fix. It...

Ctrl to hold priority is a good solution because having you hold priority on every thing you cast adds a lot more stops and time to every match. Passing it by default is fine, but we need an option...

As Bmon said, other people have stated arguments for keeping the feature much better than I do so no need to cover that again.

Appreciate the explanation, even if I completely disagree with it.

I'd rather keep Hex the way it is instead of working towards being Hearthstone. Even if it's a small, somewhat obscure case,...

I was told recently that I've been slacking and was at risk of losing the title, gotta step it up.
