    Hexcon Vegas!

feels good to type that. I've never been. I imagine it much like this...

If they put it in a casino or something, which should they choose and why?

Will they bundle it with the wow tcg one? More the merrier I say.

Who's been to vegas? Why did you go?

Did you find the brotherhood of steel facility under the fountain?

I hope for one of the MGM properties on the south strip, so I can stay in the hotel cheap or free.

They are doing the wow thing in PH, so they'd probably be back there. Not a terrible location, I'd probably stay across the street in the aria sky suites or something if they have it there.

Always nice to have another reason to go to Vegas.

The last 2 NACC were at Planet Hollywood Hotel. In 2011, it was at the Paris Hotel. Both were really good venue. If I had to choose another one, I'd like it to be at the Bellagio just for the sake of saying: "I stayed at the Bellagio while i was in Vegas!"

    Ocean's Eleven FTW!

I imagine it will be planet hollywood... Assuming they will keep the conventions 'in the family,' so to speak, Planet Hollywood is one of the better convention sites amongst the Caesars properties.

I am in Vegas a lot... Always for work... So perhaps I have a little jaded view of the Strip. But everyone there for recreational purposes seems to enjoy it

Just as well Mr Funsocks cos without that authenticator there is a chance you would have been taken to one side and forced to reveal your password ^_^

They are usually the standard "season" price for the tickets however with block rates it usually means no resort fee which saves $20 a night (average between $69-90 a night) depending on the method you use.

You pretty much could stay the whole time in the PH Mile Shops and not have to leave, although what fun would that be. ^_^

For just about every single event in the US for WoWTCG (DMF, NACC, Worlds), there is a room block for the hotel that the event is in. It's at a discount, and usually comes with a very generous swag bag as an incentive to book the room block.

For the WoWTCG NACC two weeks ago at Planet Hollywood, the room came out to about $30-40 off the normal price per night, and the resort fee was waived (EDIT, here it is: http://forums.cryptozoic.com/showthread.php?t=22552). The room swag, if you stayed for three consecutive nights out of the five available (Wednesday-Sunday), comes out to about $250 or so in booster packs, loot cards, and other assorted goodies like dice and card sleeves. It's basically a no-brainer for us WoWTCG players to take the room block - convenience and value!

I fully expect the room block for HEXCon to be similar.
