HEX Alpha Patch Notes - 815

    PATCH NOTES
-Triggered abilities no longer use the chain. We would love to have your feedback on this change!
-Added tooltips when you hover over keywords on cards while in a match.
-Added a button to the concede screen to tell us when you believe a game cannot continue. Please only use this when you think the game is broken.
-Replaced deck building drop down list with icons in Card Manager.
-Command Tower and Air Superiority now work properly again.
-Keep name creation is now properly disallowing spaces.

Edit: Crush was previously bugged, but we were able to fix it with a hot patch.

Not sure if this is a good change or a bad one... I dont think that there is any way to prevent the activation (meaning a murder etc would be fairly pointless), but it does mean there is no chance to have an ability counter. But that in itself might be a positive thing... Will have to see how it plays out, but I want to like this change.

Maybe in the future? For now, since they don't exist, I imagine it might be a way to further cut down on the sync-related hangups. They could always add it back in if/when the card design space requires it.

This is quite interesting. No priority on triggered abilities changes Hex TCG on a foundational level. The entire game has shifted slightly toward simplification.

Hyena, its fairly minor unless some triggered abilities become insane. If they are fairly tame and dont require a counter, then simplification for now might not be so bad, especially with people complaining about how slow games are getting.

Adding triggered ability stops later might not be so bad either, when it is actually needed.

My initial reaction is to dislike the idea of the change and I can't help but wonder if it was done to cut corners on trying to fix chain hangups rather than to benefit game play. I will try to stifle that feeling to give proper feedback on it once I've played around with it a bit.
