    Campaign Patch Notes

    Chronicles of Entrath: Chapter 1 – 01/25/16

    New Features

    *Chronicles of Entrath, Volume 1, the first campaign adventure of HEX: Shard of Fate is now
    available
    *Travel Entrath and face more than 100 new opponents
    *Fight your way through 6 Dungeons
    *8 Available Races to choose from as you create your own champions
    *Play as a powerful Mage, devoted Cleric, or mighty Warrior
    *Earn experience and level up your champion to gain new powers and expand deckbuilding options
    *Explore 10 of Entrath’s cities and settlements
    *New soundtrack for Chapter 1 brings an hour and a half of original music score to our entire HEX soundtrack
    *Earn over 100 new cards, 200 new equipment, gold, and more!

    General

    *We have added a brand new tutorial that will take you through multiple battles to teach you the basics of HEX!
    *The rare case of opening a chest that gave you a loot table error should no longer happen.
    *The auto-save feature now works even when you only change a card’s socket
    *You can no longer save multiple decks with the same name
    *Champion selection borders no longer sometimes fail to display
    *New accounts no longer choose a starter deck on account creation to receive, instead all accounts receive a pool of over 200 cards and 8 decks constructed out of those cards. These decks are not the same as the starter decks and players will still be able to buy starter decks from the store.
    *The AI will no longer always assign damage in the order that blockers were assigned
    *Cloud King, Cloud Queen, and Storm of the Century now correctly have the promo frame
    *Guild Master and Raid Leader players will earn the Dungeon Crawler bonus until their features are in-game
    *Alternate Art cards now display and validate in decks based on the normal card’s rarity
    *The minimum number of players in a scheduled event now displays correctly while in the lobby

    User Interface and Chat

    *General navigation bar was consolidated and the old icons replaced
    *Battle HUD has been redesigned
    *Champion portraits are more condensed
    *Equipment now has a pop-out interface
    *Resources, threshold, and hand size are now along the top and bottom of the screen
    *Additional champion activation powers are located under the Champion portrait
    *Resource play animation has been updated
    *Threshold icons are now animated
    *Landing page has been completely re-imagined
    *The Proving Grounds screen has been removed
    *Direct challenges must be done through the chat interface
    *Playing versus the AI has been renamed to Practice and is available directly from the landing page
    *Play Random Opponent is now accessed from the landing page
    *Starter Trials have been removed and their equipment rewards have been incorporated into the campaign experience
    *Menus and Scroll bars now display correctly while in stack view in the Card Manager
    *Clicking a card in stack view in Card Manager now correctly selects the appropriate card and not the one behind it
    *Advanced Filters will no longer incorrectly automatically display upon entering Card Manager
    *Messages received from battle chat now display an indicator bubble while chat is minimized
    *Arrow keys are no longer enabled in card manager while you have chat open
    *Champion filters now have a “Sort by Chapter” option
    *Champion filters now have a “Sort by Health” option
    *Pressing the “Enter” button while in any text box will no longer open the chat interface
    *Chat is now minimized at the start of non-PvP games
    *Chat avatar emotions now have tool tips
    *There is now an animation on your Champion portrait when you gain health
    *The coin before games has a new look
    *We have a fancy new mouse cursor!

    Gameplay


    *Angel of Dawn’s power now correctly creates a priority stop so opponents can respond
    *Tunneling troops entering play from being tunneled now correctly create a priority stop so opponents can respond
    *Brood Baron now correctly displays his last line of game text
    *Gearsmith no longer incorrectly keeps revealed cards on top of your deck if no artifact is found
    *Flak Scrapper’s power now correctly deals damage
    *Cost reduction applied by Mindcaller’s power now persists after the modified card enters play
    *Subterannean Spy now shows the correct player’s hand when you tunnel an opponent’s Subterannean Spy
    *Cards that have been modified by a prophecy power now are indicated by the word “Prophesied”
    *Booby Trap now reveals and shows itself when drawn
    *Fifth Book of D’harsis no longer incorrectly contains +++ in its targeting text
    *Wolsy Wabbit now correctly inherits modifiers from the troop it is copying
    *Shadowgrove Witch’s debuff is no longer removed if the Shadowgrove Witch leaves play
    *Gront’s Gift will no longer incorrectly bury one card from your opponent when it enters play with Major Sapphire of Subterfuge
    *Socketable cards now correctly have gems when they are created
    *Verdant Wyldeboar now reads: “Speed At end of turn, put this into your deck. This gets +4[ATK]/+4[DEF]. This loses this power.”
    *Elimination Specialist now reads: “When this enters play, add a rocket counter to it for each artifact you control. [BASIC]: Remove a rocket counter from this -> This deals 1 damage to target troop. At end of turn, remove all rocket counters from this.”
    *Princess Victoria now reads: “If Princess Victoria is in your opening hand, she gets cost -(3). Inspire – As another troop with cost equal to or greater than Princess Victoria’s cost enters play under your control, that troop gets Lifedrain.”
    *Succulent Roostasaur now reads: “Crush Exhaust another troop you control ->This gets +1[ATK]/+1[DEF] this turn. Sacrifice this -> Gain health equal to this troop’s [DEF].”
    *Sabotage now reads: “Create four Booby Traps for target opposing champion and put them into their deck.”
    *Chimera Guard Outrider now reads: “When this attacks, it gets +[ATK] equal to this troop’s [DEF] this turn.”
    Inquisition now reads: “Look at target opposing champion’s hand. Choose a revealed non-resource card. They discard that card.”
    *Splinter of Azathoth now reads: “Flight [ONE-SHOT] (2) -> Interrupt target card. Put the interrupted card into its controller’s hand’.
    *Comet Strike now reads: “Void all cards in play, crypts, and hands. Each champion gains <0/10>. Each champion gains 10 [DIAMOND]. Each champion gains 10 [RUBY]. Each champion gains 10 [SAPPHIRE].”
    *Inferno now reads: “When this enters play, add an inferno counter to this. At the start of each champion’s turn, choose one at random: add an inferno counter to this; or deal 1 damage to that champion for each inferno counter on this.”
    *Eldon’s Distress Signal now reads: “Exhaust three troops you control -> Transform Eldon’s Distress Signal into Eldon the Imprisoned.”
    *Cerulean Grand Strategist now reads: “Inspire – As another troop with cost equal to or greater than this troop’s cost enters play under your control, that troop gets “[ACT] -> Exhaust target troop with [ATK] equal to or less than this troop’s [ATK].””
    *Master Theorycrafter now reads: “SOCKETABLE MAJOR (2), [ACT] -> Create a War Bot with this troop’s gems and put it into play. That troop gets Speed and “At end of turn, void this.””
    *Phenteo now comes with 100x more spiders each time you ask, “When are patch notes going live?”
    *Mystic Spiritwalker now reads: “When this attacks, the next time target troop you control would be dealt damage this game, prevent it.”
    *Rocket Ranger now reads: “While you control one or more artifacts, this has Flight. While you control three or more artifacts, this has +2[ATK]/+2[DEF]. When this attacks, if you control five or more artifacts, this deals 4 damage to target opposing champion.”
    *The Transcended now reads: “If you would draw a card, search your deck for any card and put it into your hand instead.”
    *Mancubus now reads: “[ONE-SHOT] [BASIC]: (2) -> Gain control of target opposing troop with [ATK] equal to or less than this troop’s [ATK].”
    *Bombsmith now reads: “When this enters play, you may have this deal 1 damage to target troop.”
    *Eurig the Robomancer now reads: “[ACT] -> Create a Worker Bot and put it into play. [ACT] -> Transform target Worker Bot you control into a War Bot. [ACT] -> Transform target War Bot you control into a War Hulk.”
    *Booby Trap now reads: “If this would enter your hand or crypt, reveal it. Void it. It deals 4 damage to you instead.”
    *Shadowgrove Witch now reads: “When this enters play, target opposing champion reveals a random card from their hand. Revealed troops get -2[ATK]/-2[DEF].”
    *Soul Marble now reads: “[(X)] [ARROWR] Add X sculpture counters to this. Then, if there are ten or more, remove them all and choose one: Choose Soul Cavalry; or Choose Soul Armaments.”

    We've also updated the Known Issues thread: http://forums.cryptozoic.com/showthread.php?t=41533

    Please be particularly aware of the following issues:
    • Proceed to Phase shortcuts (F5, F8, and F10) are skipping more phases than intended (Caution is heavily advised when using these shortcuts and their hotkeys)
    • Scheme incorrectly creates 16 cards instead of 4 (Scheme is temporarily banned in PvE and Constructed Tournaments until this issue is resolved)
