Thread: Dream Deck with equipment is crazy.

    Okay let's be honest guys.

    Dream decks where horribly designed idea.

    1. Required no shards or resources to win

    2. Gave you a pretty much turn 1 board state that put a AI on a 2 turn clock before they even get a chance to draw a card. If they where not blood they virtually have no solution to deal with you.

    3. Yes Slaughtergear is pretty silly but no where as close to silly of what dream was, slaughter gear requires you to put down resources, put down cards, get threshold. It requires more gameplay mechanics then discarding your hand. The thing wasn't about using any of their discard abilities for the most part for their use other then maybe eagle.

    Instead of complaining try suggesting a better fix, cause this made almost all the dream cards unplayable now cept from dream spider and dream skarn or dream eagle if your sapphire.

    Seems a bit dated, and maybe you didn't read the many many pages here, but fixes were recommended.

    People are still whining about how it got nerfed, to be honest I would rather it be in the state is now then it was then. Honestly my idea was it cost 2 resources to discard, because it stops the whole I drop my hand and get a bard for free. In my honest opinion the dream cards just need a whole rework.

    1. The only dream card that will most likely hit the field is dream spider. But his discard is complete garbage.

    2. The dream skarn is kiiinda playable but he's honestly better getting you an ruby action for free to fuel up kindling skarn/gas troll/salt harpy/archmage wren.

    3. Dream turtle is still "playable" as a filler card and gives you a free combat trick.

    4. Dream eagle, is still good just in mono sapphire, it's an ehhhh drop at that cost, but still a good discard option.

    5. Dream bear, honestly this is the worst out of them all, it's not playable and if you really need life gain that much there is way better things to produce it. He isn't a playable creature or discard effect.

    6. Enter the dream, if they honestly wanted to go with this silly threshold idea should've been one of every colour. Not to mention it's helmet slot... oh boy If you have the mana to produce this all your dream cards costing 1 less hardly matters at this point.

    My suggestion is just a whole rework of them

    Dream cards would look like this

    Dream Eagle
    1 Resource + Threshold : Look at the top four cards and put it in your hand
    2 Resource: Look at the top 2 cards, pick one and put it in your hand

    This makes it so if your running it off colour just for it's effect it's worst then playing it. If you do have the threshold it becomes a cheaper discard and nets you more.

    Dream Spider
    1 Resource + Threshold: Look at the top two card of the opponents deck, mill them if you want too.
    2 Resource: Look at the next card in his deck, mill them if you want too.

    Dream Skarn
    1 Resouce + Threshold: Create a random 1 cost ruby action, and do 1 damage to all opposing creatures
    2 Resource: Do 1 damage to all opposing creatures

    Dream Turtle
    1 Resouce + Threshold: Troops you control get +0/+2 and untap themselves.
    2 Resource: Troops you control get +0/+2 until end of turn.

    Dream Bear (gets the biggest change to being actually playable/discarded)
    6 cost
    5/4
    Crush
    Other creatures you control get +1/+1

    1 Resource + Threshold: Troops you control get +2/+2 until end of turn.
    2 Resource: Troops you control get +1/+1 until end of turn.

    Enter the Dream
    6 Resource -1 for each Threshold you have, bring back all creatures with grave that have dream in their name.

    Let's say you where running wild/sapphire. Enter the dream would cost you 4, but you could easily build your deck around ramp/oakhenge you should on average have a decent enough board state to crash through your enemy

    Turn 1: Wild -> Howling Brave

    Turn 2: Sapphire -> Lithe Artist, you can now either choose to search for a card with eagle, or wait for the enemy turn to combat trick them into blocking against a 3/4 and a 3/3.

    Turn 3: Any shard -> Discard 2/possibly 3 cards, or discard Enter the dream your field is now 1 2/2, 1 2/3, 1 flying 5/5 and a 5/4 crush bear. That is a pretty good board state for turn 3, which you can do at the end of the enemies turn. But nothing mind blowingly stupid like Turn 1 I have 4 to 6 creatures on the field.

    It's playable, and it requires you to play cards, it requires you to get resources, it requires you to get some threshold. It also give a board state while power, the enemy can have solutions to deal with it but you are heavily winning on your side of the field.

    Slaughtergear, is honestly more a problem of shitty base stats but their equipment gives WAY to much. The only card that should most likely get a rework is replicator's ability not counting towards how many slaughter gears you have. Honestly a turn 3/4 flying, 4/4 that turns into two flying 7/7's if you have no other slaughtergears?
