I think quick and rhino generating or unblockable and rhino will be nasty if your opponent is lacking removal.

Gaaaaaaah. Once again the craving begins. Too bad I am too sick to go get apple pie.

I don't think the 2X cost makes it viable for aggro applications, at least without significant support. A 1/1 for 3 even with double socket is just marginal. Higher-cost implementations in aggro are very susceptible to removal/counter. Perhaps there is some spellshield-dmg or spellshield-Evasion implementation that would work well as a threat in ramp, but even then it feels worse than rootfather ad ramp requires W anyway atm (set 4 could make solid R ramp viable).

However, in a SR control context, it is easy to think about this as a much better burn to the ground. Burn to the ground as a quick action for 1 more cost is pretty good in itself, getting an X/X quick troop as an immediate threat as well (especially with strong S bounce option) potentially makes this a serious constructed consideration. A lot will depend on the tempo we see in a more curve-ramp focused set 4

Definitely a cool card. I'm not sure this isn't just worse than Arborean Rootfather in most decks. (But what isn't' worse than Arborean Rootfather?) Major Ruby of Destruction seems like a given. Not sure on the second gem, although Speed definitely seems good. We'll see if the card's versatility lets it see play.

Maybe one or two copies get played for the flexibility. It could just as easily not see play because its outclassed at every point on curve by other options.

I'm thinking about it as a 4/4 speed for 6 that does 4 to the face when entering play while allowing me to keep all counter/bounce options open on my opponent's turn. (The result of quick+destruction) I'd be surprised if there is something else in set 4 that will out curve that value to midrange control.

I like the way this is worded. You can't brute force it into play with something like Rutherford Banks and profit if it got countered.
