DC Deck-Building Tournament: TEAM BATTLE - January 6th near Denver, Colorado

    Hello fellow DC Deck-Builders,

The Enchanted Grounds in Littleton (3615 West Bowles Avenue. Suite 5, Littleton, CO 80123) will be hosting a Team Battle Tournament on January 6th from 10 AM to 2 PM. The tournament will consist of 3 rounds of game-play utilizing the Base set and Crisis 1. With the event being a Team Battle the rules, points, and pod organization will be different from previous events. This tournament will use the Team Game variant rules that are on page 10 of the Base Set Rulebook (provided below). Pods will be organized to hold 4 players each and teams will be randomly determined from round to round (you will not stay with same teammate throughout the event). At the end of the round, the team in each pod with the highest combined VP point total (or most Super-Villains if tied) will receive 4 Tournament Points (TP) and the other team will receive 2 TP. Additionally, the player on each team with the most Super-Villains will receive an additional 1 TP. Individual VP, defeated S-V's, and TP will be tracked throughout the event and the player with the most TP at the end of the tournament (or most S-V's if tie for 1st place) will receive a $10 Credit to use on any DC Deck-building Game product. Additionally, there will be raffle prizes at the end of the event. This event is FREE to enter.

    Team Game Variant Rules
This is a 2v2 game, where you and a partner work together to defeat the opposing team! Turns should alternate so that a team does not take two turns in a row. Teammates are free to discuss strategy before making decisions, but you can't show your teammate your hand. Each Super Hero has his or her own deck and hand, but when you buy or gain a card during your turn, you may choose to put that card into your discard pile or your teammate's discard pile. If you place it in your teammate's discard pile, one member of the other team may choose to discard a card from their hand and then draw a card. This occurs for each card that a foe passes to their teammate.

Any Attacks you make do not affect your teammate. When your team is attacked by the other team or a Super-Villain, you may defend your teammate. When you play a Defense card, you must decide which Super Hero you are protecting. The Super Hero who played the Defense card always gains any benefit listed listed on the Defense card for playing the card, however. At end of game, total up each deck's individual Victory Points, then add you two totals together for your team score. The team with the higher combined total score wins.
