    HR.HU.Plastic-Man

Ok, this was probably answered many moons ago but once again, I don't have an easy way to search for it. So...
Plastic-Man says to copy the text of an equipment card. Does that include everything? For instance, if the target card is a defense, does the oversize booster-gold get to count it as defense-card? Also, what of the cost? Does plastic-man now have two different costs? It may come into play when destroying it for power, etc. And just to make this fun, what if the target card has an altered cost? Finally, does plastic-man also have an extra name for the remainder of the turn?
New players want to know from the source.

P.S. Thanks for the help at GenCon.

Plastic Man was errated and reprinted in Crisis 2. The new wording, which you should use is:

Choose an Equipment in your discard pile or that you played this turn. Plastic Man gains the game text of that card this turn.

You missed again. The basic question is what is the game text of a card?
Lots of references to game text, none to define it.

The game text refers to the words in the white text box (the same place you reference when you describe what the Plastic Man card says). So essentially when you play Plastic Man on a given turn the Plastic Man card text in the white text box gets replaced with the words from the equipment you chose to copy in your discard or in play. So if it's a Flight Ring, Plastic Man's text now says "Draw a Card" if you copied Batarang the text is "+2 Power", if you copied Helmet of Fate it would have the text "+2 Power DEFENSE: etc."
The key thing is you can only get the effects of a card when you play it, so you could not use Plastic Man as a defense, but it would count as a defense card played for Hero of the Future. Clear?

Thank you. I agree. I now have two more players that also agree.
There was some discussion about the "defense" and "attack" sections.
This also means that cards when played are not always pristine.

The attack part of an equipment copied would take place, such as Mind Control Hat. The key is that you have to be able to play Plastic Man in order to gain the text of the equipment which is why Plastic Man cannot be used to defend - until played Plastic Man's text is still words to the effect of gain the text of an equipment in your discard pile or in play. Defenses are either revealed or discarded from hand, or discarded from play to defend, something that you just cannot do with Plastic Man.

    The best defenses are rotated!

That's the one in the Birds of Prey Crossover? We never got around to playing that more than once.

Yeah that's the one. Such a great Defense. I also love the new Wonder Woman's Shield from Rebirth.
