I know this game is not even funded right now but im sure it will be so i must tell this:

Thank you for this game and this concept (merging F2P MMO with TCG with reasonable prices). Im old Mtg player and iw as more and more dissapointed with newly realeased and announced TCG games (Heroes TCG, new Blizzard TCG).. they all look childlish and doesn have MTG complexity and mechanics (lack of instant cards, lack of 'manual' blocking with crits, lack of many things that makes tcg deep and strategic game). Also Mtg digital version are expensive (MTGO), clunky (MTGO) and casual with no deck bulding (Duels OF The Planewalkers). Most of digital TCG are also more or less - cash grabs and nothing more.

So.... i was waiting patiently for new TCG that will 'deliver' whats is impornant in TCG game in reasonable quality (basically i was hoping for new MTG version with normal prices for cards) and then!...

I saw HEX annoucement and Kickstarter page!

Oh my!

- TCG merged with F2P MMORPG game
- ability to earn card via plaiyng (i hope at normal pace not "one pack per one month of grinding" like in other games)
- actual trading with humans (TCG without this? LOL @ Blizz TCG and HEroes TCG)
- some cool ideas like dungeons, card leveling for alt art and foil versions, card socketing, equipment (LOTS of strategic/deck building possibilities here... LOTS... based on screenshots on website).
- PvP and PvE content with different balance
- reasonable price for booster packs (2$ is perfect i think)
- nice art style and lore
- and most importnant: deep and 'real' TCG mechanics based on king of TCG games - Magic The Gathering (with normal, strategic blocking, instant cards and effects, etc..).

Me and my friends (we used to play MTG long time ago - 6 edition/Urza Block times) says: THANK YOU for this.
After long break with TCG games (lack of time to play 'real' versions of MTG/WoW too) i think we may find our new home... because basically EVERYTHING that i saw in gameplay video and on website and on Kickstarter page is AWESOME.

THANKS and see you in game!

PS. Sorry for typos and weak english. :)

PS2. To all ppl - share your thanks and general thought about the game too if you want :) I wonder if anyone feels like me. :)

This sums up almost exactly how I feel.

Hearthstone and the other digital TCGs that people are doing have no depth.

I'm unbelievably excited for this. :)

Agreed. Was excited for Hearthstone before (loved TCGs until everyone around here quit, was glad to finally have a decent online option since the Magic ones are bad), but this is quickly upstaging it for me. Really want to see more of the MMO aspects soon, though. Glad to have guaranteed beta!

I've played so many TCGs, i've done tournaments for magic, Wow, l5r, yugioh, pokemon, and a couple random smaller ones. I think that taking advantage of being digital only gives a lot of potential to be something new and fun. It's not completely a new or unique idea (Legends of norrath did the transforming cards thing for example) but it looks to be better implemented. I'm excited, and i've totally drunk the koolaid

I look forward to Solforge i did kickstarter for that, but wow when i see this i was blown away. I got into Magic a bit ago, and play online and card based, but its just hard to get out and play enough with the card based version. Hearthstone did look interesting but this looks like it will kill it.

Lets get beta rolling! Bring on the bunnies!

I just hope the speed of donations continue (or go faster! hehe) and we start seeing some stretch goals.

Shoot, just get the Penny-Arcade guys to give a shout out on the news page with tomorrow's update and the kickstarting will go nuts. They have a huge fanbase who would be interested in this, and a (I hope) good professional experience with Cryptozoic thanks to their game.

French TCG players are either playing WOW Realms or MTG BOM (huge unofficial Legacy tourney) so I'm pretty sure there'll be some more backers next week :)

I agree with everything about this - I spent the whole day trying to kill my desire for TCG's just enough to wait a few more weeks, on the god-forsaken Duels of the planewalkers (not only is it riddled with deckbuilding issues, it automatically passes priority in places it shouldn't, which is a joke.)

The whole day, I was just WISHING for Hex - I think at this point Hex would become the only TCG I would play (unless the issues holding back a 3DS Yugioh game are resolved), just because it is everything that MTG should have been. Magic is getting worse and worse, every time I see it, and favours only those who spend a large amount of money, which is not how a community game should be.

So devs, THANK YOU. This sentiment will be repeated by so many, because you have done what people wanted, and more.
