View Full Version : A Dwarf Story (In Limericks)

Once there was a dwarf artificer,

Who thought the world would be nicer,

If the irksome mouse

Which lived in his house

Were to die amidst a fiery geyser.

The dwarf made an explosive bubble,

With bangrock, he packed it double,

After the boom

Gone was the room

But the mouse scurried out from the rubble.

Next, the dwarf designed a bot,

Killing mice, its only thought,

It searched dusk to dawn,

Till its batteries were gone,

But it never found that which it sought.

Bots weren’t the cure,

Perhaps a bomb more pure,

A bigger kaboom

Shot from the moon

It was the only way to be sure.

A ton of bombs, with extras (just in case),

They, inside the missile, the dwarf (and himself) did encase,

Launched into the sky, all afire,

But that mouse had chewed the guidance wire,

So out of control, the dwarf (with his bombs) vanished deep into space.

And what can we learn from this story? When you have to blow something up from a distance, use enough explosives that a guidance system is irrelevant. If your rocket goes into space, use enough bombs to blow up a solar system!

The only way to be sure.
