Hello everyone,,
I was most of the way through "Justice League Vol 3: Hawkworld" when it dawned on me that this whole volume, the whole story arc up to that point, felt a little (a lot?) over the top. Perhaps even unnecessary. There are all these storylines happening all over the universe all at the same time, characters with insane powers, huge pieces of expositional dialogue during fight scenes, and in the end (of that volume anyway), we end up exactly where it always looked like we were heading anyway.

I am a big fan of the Snyder-Capullo Batman run and loved "Dark Metal", which was an event in itself, but I worry that maybe there is a tendency to try too hard, to attempt too much, to jump the shark a few too many times, and in the end the story is less for it. More importantly, the characters are sometimes less for it. Maybe the problem with DC Comics right now is that the "event" or "crossover" is always their solution, instead of telling good stories. The 'event' has supplanted the story.

For that reason, maybe the 'Black Label' line will end up the better series, with better stories that are more true to the characters. Thoughts?

Due to the increased consumption of junk food, weight gain in many people has been affected causing an exponential deterioration in their health. Also, the increase and lack of control in the use of technology are causing many children to adopt a sedentary life. Statistics show that 40% of the American population is unaware or unknown of the side effects that obesity causes.
