    no mac alpha client

i just want to express my huge disappointment that there is no mac alpha client.

This was mentioned from day 1 that Mac would not have alpha client.
There are several threads where Mac users have got the client working though 3rd party applications

This issue has been expressed on multiple threads and in multiple post from CZE, there are even threads with workarounds if you just search a bit, in fact I'm sure shadow elf will be here momentarily with some links.

I understand your disappointment and impatience, but it's not really surprising that the two clients would be on slightly different development timetables.

I believe our Mac client had its first test game this weekend, but it's not quite ready for public consumption and our engineering resources are dedicated to getting as many players as possible into the alpha as soon as possible.
    Savor the anticipation? Sorry!

Huge disappointment. You really haven't been following up on anything there has been said, so it seems.

    - You can emulate windows stuff in mac
    - You can just get on a pc
    - If alpha would be cross-platform it would even take longer and you probably wouldn't even have been invited yet
    - Mac's are not the most common gaming platform, you can't expect all games to be ported to mac, let alone alpha

That said, i feel for you. I honostly do. I just like people better when they googled or browsed forums before posting huge disappointments.

This game was specifically marketed as an OS X application, so making the above comment is basically you being a huge jerk because you don't have a problem. Literally straight from the top of the Kickstarter:

The first ever real MMO/TCG for your PC & MAC
It's one thing to ask for people to be patient. But don't for one moment pretend that Mac users aren't entitled to the same treatment as Windows users.

The avalanche has already started, it is too late for the pebbles to vote.

It probably could have been worded a bit better yes. I think the biggest thing to take from this for now, is that CZE is just super busy trying to make sure the game works properly on PC, before releasing it to MAC. In this case, one is just a little more common than the other is all so they have different development timetables for now.

They are actively working on a MAC client though, and have stated they have a trial one they are working with and developing as well currently.

For now though, CZE has recommended using a third party application like Bootcamp or something until they are able to release a stable client for MAC as well. No worries though! I'm sure as soon as they get everyone invited into the alpha and have worked out a few kinks it will be next on their list to release if not sooner.

Need a cheap Fantasy Novel for your Kindle/Ipad from an amazing Author?? I'm shamelessly promoting my friend's new series The Elder Empire! It's a great series with two sides, two stories and tons of fun! The series is written as parrallel stories, so choose Shadow, Sea, or both and enjoy! www.WillWight.com
